As head of Korail's Paris office, Byungil assumes the full responsibility of maintaining a close relationship with other European operators as well as finding and engaging with foreign suppliers to Korail's tender for spare parts.
Byungil has been a rolling stock expert since 1995. He worked for many years at several maintenance sites such as Goyang KTX and Diesel locomotive maintenance shop as reliability engineer and responsible for heavy maintenance operations. In 2009 Byungil was appointed as international business supervisor for KTMB in Malaysia and Philippines Railway before being named Head of Korail Paris office in 2015.
