Visions of Rail Infrastructure Managers
The rail infrastructure costs are on the one hand important for intermodal competition and on the other hand for the public budget. The expectations of all stakeholders are falling costs. The customer requirements are increasing, more and more convenience must be provided to the passengers. This leads to a dilemma for the railway infrastructure managers, because the different goals are inconsistent with each other. A clear vision, precise long term targets and applying innovation to all processes should be the strategy to fullfill the annual growing expectations.
